Even though we have only been using this product for less than a month, we are highly satisfied with it so far. It is specifically designed for larger ponds that have more than just a few fish. If you have a small pond with only a few fish, a smaller unit would be more suitable. Even at its lowest setting, this unit still dispenses a sufficient amount of food for a single feeding. Given its size, it is not recommended to have it placed next to a small pond anyway. In our pond, which houses 32 fish (a mix of Koi and goldfish), this unit works perfectly for us. It has the capacity to feed a large pond with a substantial number of fish, considering the available settings for portion size and feeding frequency. If it lasts us a few years, then this product offers excellent value.

I spent a long time rewriting this review, explaining how I improved the distribution of food in my pond. However, when I added a photo of a tool I found on Amazon that helped me open the feeder lid more easily, my new review disappeared. This frustrated me enough to give the review system a 1-star rating. I don’t want to waste another hour, so sorry, folks, you’re stuck with my original unhappy review.
This fish feeder is decent, but it’s extremely difficult to open by hand. The lid is a twist on/off mechanism that snaps into place instead of screwing on. With a diameter of 6 inches, it requires both hands to grip tightly and remove. Even with my extra large hands, when I twist the lid with enough force to release it from the lock, the whole feeder (and the concrete stepping stone it’s attached to) moves. This means I need a second person to hold the feeder steady while I use both hands to remove the lid. Unfortunately, finding an oil filter type wrench to fit the 6-inch lid was not easy, but I ordered two and hope at least one will work. This added almost $40 to the overall cost of using this feeder.
Additionally, I cannot use the too-shallow angled extension to drop the lightweight, high-quality stick-type feed that my fish have been eating all their lives. The shallow angle causes the feed to stick to the inside when it’s damp. Unfortunately, it rains where I live and we even get dew on clear nights, which makes the extension gum up. This leaves a lot of hungry fish circling below.
Using the feeder without the extension requires positioning it and the concrete mount in a less stable position, hanging over the edge of the pond so the feed can drop into the water from the straight-down tube the extension connects to. To ensure stability, I had to drill a hole through the rear of the concrete stepping stone and the rock it rests on so I could add a steel rod to drive into the ground for additional support. This prevents the 20-pound-plus raccoons from knocking the feeder into the pond while they climb all over it at night, trying to open that stubborn lid. Want to see a video of them working as hard as I do to open that @#% lid?
Other than all these issues, it’s not a bad feeder.

I have been using this feeder consistently for approximately 5 months now. To ensure its durability, I made sure to keep the controller protected from any type of weather damage. It had been functioning flawlessly until around a month ago, when the motor suddenly stopped working. In an attempt to resolve the issue, I reached out to their customer support team and they promptly requested a video demonstrating the problem. Upon examining the video, it was determined that the motor was faulty. Fortunately, as the product was still within the one year warranty period, they swiftly sent me a replacement. Overall, I am satisfied with the resolution and would gladly make a purchase from them again.

I am extremely impressed with this product. It is evident that a lot of thought and effort went into its design as it feels very sturdy. Setting it up was a breeze and the instructions were easy to follow, particularly when programming it. I was initially worried about overfeeding my small 350-gallon koi pond, but the small auger and setting it to level 1 dispensed exactly the right amount of food.
Although I have only been using it for two days, it has already proven its worth by keeping raccoons away without any issues. It is functioning perfectly as expected. Another aspect I appreciate is the company’s excellent customer service, which gives me peace of mind in case anything goes wrong.
However, I encountered a slight problem recently. The raccoon has figured out how to turn the movable spigot, causing the food to spill onto the deck instead of the pond for the past two nights. I am hoping the raccoon isn’t clever enough to hit the hand feed button, but I suppose I will find out soon. To mitigate this issue, I have decided to remove the spigot altogether and have the food dispensed directly into the pond. I am keeping my fingers crossed for a successful solution!
Update: During my vacation, the raccoon managed to climb onto the pond pump housing and remove the top within a few seconds. It appears that the top needs to be designed to tighten more securely. As a temporary fix, I will tape the lid down to prevent any further issues.

The feeder is on the larger side and can feel a bit unsteady, but once it is securely anchored, it functions very well. I don’t understand the complaints about excessive food dispensing, as I had to increase the setting to three in order to dispense 1/2 cup of food. What I find particularly impressive is that the feeder retains all the settings, even when it loses power or is manually switched off.

Overall, this product was effective, however, there was one major issue. The raccoons were clever enough to remove the top, causing the unit to end up in the pond. Despite this, I decided to purchase a second one because I required a feeder. The second unit is now securely fastened in a deck box, with only the feeding tube visible. So far, it has been working well. It is worth noting that larger animals can still find a way to access the product, so it is important to take appropriate precautions.

The instructions provided with the product are written in a confusing combination of broken Chinese English. Despite the good intentions, it is nearly impossible to understand how to program the device. There is no clear explanation on how to set up the feeding times, only that you can program multiple feedings without any indication of when these feedings will occur during the day. Additionally, there is no information on the amount of food dispensed by the two different dispensers. The diagram even displays the incorrect way to insert the dispensers. Furthermore, there is no guidance on how to manually override the automatic feeding feature, which is already poorly explained. I am struggling to comprehend how this product has received so many positive reviews.
